Display headlines use Space Grotesk for editorial presence. IBM Plex Sans carries body copy. IBM Plex Mono is reserved for labels, timestamps, and data tags only — the fixed-width face signals precision and liveness rather than prose.
Light mode defaults to pure white because recruiters view portfolios in bright office settings and on calibrated monitors. Gold is deeper in light mode (#8C6914) so it reads as burnished rather than pasted on. All color is tokenized so quality does not degrade when switching modes.
Sidebar answers "where am I going?" Main panel answers "what happened?" Right panel answers "what does it mean?" Each column owns a distinct question so the client never has to parse an undivided screen.
The chart draws once on page load. Allocation bars fill once when you switch profiles. After that, silence. Idle animation in financial dashboards erodes trust by suggesting data is being generated. Prefers-reduced-motion is respected throughout.
All text pairs were verified against WCAG 2.1 AA minimums in both light and dark mode. Gain and loss indicators use both color and directional symbols, never color alone. The theme toggle is keyboard accessible.
